Dr. Beverly S. Mathis Elementary School is celebrating National Teacher Appreciation Day with a visit from Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and Superintendent of Public Instruction Jhone Ebert. They're here at Mathis Elementary, named for 2000 Nevada Milken Educator Dr. Beverly Mathis, to celebrate the school's Character Education Program ... but there's another reason, too! Watch as Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, surprises music teacher Ali Jun with a $25,000 Nevada Milken Educator Award.
