Lowell Milken Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofits

Established by Lowell in 2023, the Lowell Milken Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofits at UCLA School of Law stems from his lifelong commitment to philanthropy and belief in developing human capital to unleash its full potential. Recognizing the critical need for skilled leaders to manage the unprecedented wealth transfer to nonprofits, Lowell's passion drives LMPN to equip future leaders with essential skills and knowledge. Building on the success of the Program for Philanthropy and Nonprofits Lowell founded in 2017, LMPN fosters collaboration among scholars, practitioners, and philanthropic leaders through education, thought leadership, and research. Lowell’s vision ensures philanthropy is led by informed, capable leaders, making meaningful, lasting impacts on society.

In this time of unprecedented wealth transfer, we need leaders who possess the knowledge, skills, and integrity to navigate the complexities of philanthropy. Cultivating such leaders will preserve the legacy of giving and propel it into a future where non-profits can drive meaningful change.
